Project and its creation

Salaberry-de-Valleyfield has always shown foresight in the development of its nautical tourism. Water is an ever-present theme, and both the regatta and the reopening of the old Beauharnois channel are examples of this.

Our challenge was to find an event that gathered around the theme of water, but that would also focus on the rich maritime heritage of the area and its major role in history. This is the idea that gave birth to a theatrical and nautical multimedia project that would allow citizens and tourists to reconnect with the area’s maritime history in an original way.
